Dropping his single 'Winner' last week and dropping another new single this Friday. We got to chat to TayTay about his time since we last spoke, his inspiration behind his new single and future projects.
Hello TayTay! Welcome Back to ReVamp! It’s so nice to have you back! Can you believe you were our first ever cover star with Richard Wisker. What have you been up to since then?
Thank you Owen, I have been busy myself and Richard teamed up and began a renovation of a couple of older properties to create living spaces for people that need them. We have tried to use as much reclaimed materials and done a lot of the work ourselves. I have had my hands in drains with shit and all sorts. During Covid we couldn't rely on the entertainment industry as everything had stopped so joined forces, to venture into something new.
You have a brand new single called ‘Winner’. What can you tell me about it?
Affirmations became such a big thing and I myself have always done them and I am blessed to know that everything I have said I have I do have. People need to wake up and believe in themselves that they are Winners and to tell themselves that every day.
Where did you get the inspiration from?
I like a lot of retro sounds which I feel the track Winner has and working with Marshall who worked with Craig David and the Honeyz and also vocal coach /songwriter Ali Tennant (Jesse J, The Voice, David Guetta) they helped me in a new way of creating and much more disciplined than I have ever been before.
Now, do you have any dream collaborations you would like to work with?
My list is endless and want to work with people who have the same positive energy.
Is there any more music coming out? Are we expecting an EP or album?
Owen .. I actually have the next track coming out the week after Winner! Then the week after that and then the week after that. I am so excited to finally give these tracks air.
Lastly, got any plans for the rest of 2023?
Definitely more recording and also have been approached for a new LGBTQ series which looks to start filming at the end of Summer.
