Peder Lindell is already making a name for himself by starring in the latest Disney franchise of Descendants with two music legends, Rita Ora and Brandy. Lindell's career is about to take off and reach the stars!

Lindell chats with us about getting the role of 'Morgie', creating TikToks with his fellow co-stars and dream roles that he would love to get his hands on.

Hi Peder. Thank you for chatting with us today, and congratulations on ‘Descendants: Rise of Red’. The film is incredible, from the songs to the costumes and storyline. How does it feel to be part of an iconic Disney franchise?

It’s been such a wonderful, wild ride joining in as Morgie! Descendants is a massive franchise with such a tidal wave of support and love behind it; I feel honoured to continue the franchise with such fantastic people by my side!

What was the audition process like?

I got the audition about two years ago; this was back when the film was still named Pocketwatch. I remember reading the sides and thinking about how much fun the audition looked. I was surprised at how naturally the character Morgie felt to me. I did the initial audition and soon heard that the casting loved the audition and was requesting a callback! Keep in mind that I did this all from a college dorm room, and I had two other roommates making noise while getting ready for class, so there was a mix of nerves going into a live Zoom callback. It worked out great, and here I am today. I’m glad I am!

You play the role of ‘Morgie’. Son of Morgana Le Fey. What was it like slithering into this role? Did you enjoy playing a villain and being part of Uliana’s gang?

Having the chance to act as and create my own Disney villain has been a dream! It truly is good to be bad. Morgie is such a fun character to step into, and I’m happy you all enjoy him as much as I do.

So, what has the reaction been like since the movie came out?

It’s been crazy! Life has turned upside down, and I am so grateful for all the fans and the love! Everyone seems to love the film, and I’m glad that all the hard work this cast and crew put in is paying off.

Can we also mention how amazing these iconic TikToks have been? Every time I see your TikToks with the Descendants cast mates. I am living for it! What was it like backstage working with these incredible actors? Have you got any funny stories?

Ahhhhh, thank you!! I love making them, and we have so many more bts coming! The VKs vlogged all our days on set, so we have many fun videos coming your way! Every day is a new adventure with this cast; they don’t hesitate to get me rolling, laughing and filling my heart. It may sound cheesy, but we have become a family throughout all this! When we were in production and lunchtime came around, sometimes we would all pick a trailer to meet and eat lunch. Once, we chose Morgan’s trailer to occupy, and no one told her about it, so we all camped out with our food in her trailer. when she arrived, she was like, what is going on?! Imagine a cast of colourful Disney heroes and villains being the first thing you see when walking in your door. Haha. She was super happy, and we all had a great lunch.

You also starred in ‘Scraps’, a queer skateboarding film. You played the role of Gus. Did you have to train to do the skateboarding, or were you already professional at it?

Yes! I’ve been skateboarding my whole life! I started when I was young and frequented the local park every summer. It became challenging because my character, Gus, is supposed to be a beginner skateboarder, so I suddenly had to be bad at it all and make it realistic.

Did you do all your stunts?

I did! It’s funny; I got a t-shirt when I was younger that said, “I do all my stunts,” ever since then, I’ve stuck with that and will do so for the rest of my career!

What other roles would you like to play?

If they ever did a new live-action of Peter Pan, I am throwing my name in the running for Peter! I’m pretty sure I’m already living in Neverland with all my adventures! Otherwise, I’d love to star in a movie with big stunts like Mission Impossible or James Bond or some aviation movie where I can fly planes, like Top Gun! Honestly, someone call Tom Cruise and let him know I’m free. That’d be great! I think I could also kill a good comedy movie. I have so many goals and roles I’d love to play, and I can’t wait to see what comes my way!

Have you got any exciting projects coming up that you are allowed to share?

I'm super excited to be starting production soon and starring in a new horror/thriller called Kilter! Also, a short film about the music industry called Blue Check is in post-production, and Scraps will be released soon! And more!

Lastly, if you had the opportunity to ReVamp anything in the world, what would it be and why?

If I could revamp anything in this world, I would establish a more robust emphasis and care for natural conservation and the beauty of our planet. Our world is filled with such incredible wonders. There is so much worth protecting from towering rainforests to diverse underwater reefs; we could all use it to care more for our local environments. It’s the only Earth we get!
