Dropping his single 'November Sky'. We got to chat to upcoming singer, Holne about the inspiration behind the track, dream collaborations and what the rest of 2022 looks like.

Hi Holne. Thanks for chatting to us. How’s your summer been?

It's been great! I've loved the hot weather, so plenty of beach trips. Gigging in the heat wasn't as comfortable though! ha!

You’ve just dropped your new single ‘November Sky’! Congratulations! What was the inspiration behind this track?

This track was one of the easiest to write. Usually I'll take a couple of days to write a song, pull it apart, then put it back together. But November Sky kind of "fell out"! That's how I think it should be. Lyrically, I wanted to write about the inner thoughts of someone wanting to reachout to someone who they've hurt, or who they aren't in touch with anymore. It's easy to sit and do nothing, it's much harder to be the one to make that first step and try to heal old wounds or bad blood... That's what I've tried to write about in this song. Turning up to an event on your own, hoping to bump into that important someone. I hope that makes sense!

How long did it take you to create this song?

As I said, it was very quick! I wrote it in about an hour, then went on a walk with my dog to fine tune/rewrite the lyrics. Recorded it in my studio at home and then sent it off to my drummer, guitarist and producer to do their thing! A nice quick one week turn around! Is that too honest? Should I be saying it took months!?

Are there any dream collaborations you would like to do?

I would love to work with Charlie Puth. You can see from the videos he shares online that he's a super talent, always searching for that dirty hook and catchy melody. Plus he's a great home-producer so i think that'd be such a fun writing sesh.

What have you got planned for the rest of 2022?

Well! I have another single coming out on Oct 14th (watch this space) which I'm looking forward to. But I think for the rest of the year I'll be mostly playing and writing! It's all about music!

Lastly, any message you would like to say to your ReVamp readers?

Hello Revamp! You've probably never heard of me so thank you for reading this far! I hope you enjoy November Sky and please stick with me for future tunes! Peace!
