Hi Asha! Thanks for being part of our ReVamp cover. With the new series of Bad Education coming out. What can we expect from Usha?

We can expect so much more gossip, so much more business that she gets involved in and with what she shouldn’t be involved in, and just loads of fun and laughter.

What was the audition process like for getting the role of Usma?

The audition process was quite straightforward, just the typical self-tape that you get from your agent and then send that off. A while after I got a recall with Freddie (director) and Nicky (casting director) and then got an offer. Went in for a cam read with the other guys but at the time Fran and I knew we were playing Usma and Blessing and testing the other guys, so yeah it was quite a straightforward process.

Suppose Usma had to pick one Queen Bee of the School from a Chick Flick movie. Who do you think it would be? 

It’s got to be Sharpay! Sharpay from High School Musical, she’s very makeup, it girl, click for fingers, top of the high rarky, that would be Usma’s bestie for sure but without the singing and dancing!

Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?

Wow! I would love to see myself playing a lot more lead roles and telling more amazing stories, to make a difference in the world. Also, have my TV show that I’ve written and directed because that’s always something I wanted to do. Just to be happy and live my life to the fullest.
