Upcoming young actor Christian J Simon is set to star in the remake of Disney channels first ever network movie, “Under Wraps”.

The talented actor is already presenting quite an impressive resumé for such a young performer. His hard work and skill highlighted by the two Emmy nominations he has under his belt. Safe to say Christian J Simon is will be a name audiences will be hearing a lot of.

You star in the new re-imagining of the Disney Channel’s first ever TV movie “Under Wraps”. How does it feel to star in the reimagining of what was such a benchmark movie for the Disney Channel?

It’s an amazing feeling to revamp the first Disney DCOM. This movie laid the foundation for every other Disney Channel movie that has come out and we hope to leave an impact like the original.

At such a young age you have already been nominated for two Emmy’s. Surely, it must feel great to already be receiving award recognition for your work, or are awards something you do not really care too much about?

Honestly, it’s such a great honor to be recognized for the work that I’ve done. I love what I do and have worked really hard to get where I am in my career. It’s nice to have some of the work that I’ve done be mentioned highlighted across so many platforms.

Your character of Leo in “Sydney to the Max”, is the witty but level-headed friend to Max. Do you consider yourself like Leo in real life? Or are you less no-nonsense and more fun-loving?

I’d like to think that I’m a mixture of the two. I have my moments of being silly to times where I like to sit back and chill.

Has it been fun voicing Darwin on “The Amazing World of Gumball”? How has it been different to your roles in front of the camera?

It was a blast voicing Darwin. “The Amazing World of Gumball” was one of my first lead roles and this project set me up to understand what it was like to voice a character. I always say that it requires a different type of energy to voice a character compared to acting in front of a camera.

Who would you say your biggest influence as an actor is and what ways have, they influenced you?

I look up to a lot of actors. Right now, I’d have to say that Will Smith has been a major influence on me. He has complete control of any character that he portrays and has shown me the definition of owning your career.

Due to the success you have had this early in your career, I believe it’s safe to say that Christian J. Simon is a name that Hollywood will be hearing a lot of in the coming years. What are you excited about for your future?

I’m excited for the unknown. This journey has brought me to different places that I didn’t even know that I could go. As long as I continue grinding, I know that good things will happen. I don’t take it for granted. I’m extremely grateful for it all.
