Interview & Digital Editor: Pankhuri Bhutani

Editor-in-Chief: Owen James Vincent

As the seventh act to emerge from the influential EXILE TRIBE collective, the seven-member J-Pop group 'PSYCHIC FEVER' consisting of KOKORO, WEESA, TSURUGI, RYOGA, REN, JIMMY, and RYUSHIN has quickly carved out a name of their own within the landscape of music. And they're back with a new announcement!

Possessing a sound that transcends genres, their music knows no bounds. With cinematic performances, emotionally charged music and viral tracks including "Gelato" and "Just Like That", PSYCHIC FEVER is quickly establishing a strong fanbase while building a lasting presence in the global pop conversation.

Entering an exciting new partnership under Warner Music Group and 10K Projects, a fresh wave of releases, and their 'ForEVER CONNECT PCF' fan meeting tour set to reach their supporters from across the globe, PSYCHIC FEVER is all set to embark on their next stop of fan meetings- this time in Europe!

We recently had a chat with PSYCHIC FEVER regarding the creative process behind their music, their experience meeting fans in America, what the future holds in store for the seven members, and more significant insights into their phenomenal professional journey!

Hi there boys. Thank you for joining us on ReVamp! How are you doing and how has 2025 been like for you so far?

PSYCHIC FEVER: Hi! Thanks so much for having us on ReVamp — we’re really excited to be here! 2025 has been such an amazing ride so far. We've been busy with new releases, connecting with fans, and preparing for upcoming shows. It’s been full of growth, challenges, and a lot of fun — we can’t wait to share more of what we’ve been working on!

From your initial emergence as the seventh act under the legendary 'EXILE TRIBE' to garnering such global attention, have you noticed any evolution in your artistry from your debut until now?

TSURUGI: I feel like the PSYCHIC FEVER community has really grown! It keeps getting bigger and evolving, and I think we’re becoming stronger together as a team and as a group.

REN: I feel like I’ve been constantly evolving as an artist. I originally focused only on dance, but ever since joining PSYCHIC FEVER, I’ve had the chance to take on rap and vocals too. Being part of so many events and meeting incredible artists has been so inspiring — it’s helped me push myself and grow.

The name "PSYCHIC FEVER" suggests a powerful, almost telepathic creative aura.

How does this identity reveal itself as distinct from the other music groups out there as well as in your creative process, your onstage chemistry, and the deeper fabric of your relationship as a seven-member collective?

RYOGA: The name “PSYCHIC FEVER” reflects our desire to share our unique personalities while spreading excitement all around the world. There’s also a “psychic” element to it — sometimes we even explore themes that are a bit scientific or out of the ordinary. I really think the name fits us perfectly, because each of us brings something different and special to the group.

KOKORO: Even before we officially formed the group, we were already training and pushing each other hard at EXPG, the dance school operated by LDH. From the very start of our activities, I could feel our bond growing stronger day by day. Each of the seven of us has a completely unique personality, and when those differences come together, they create a kind of chemistry — that’s what makes PSYCHIC FEVER’s music and entertainment so special.

With “Gelato” marking your first release under 'Warner Music Group' and '10K Projects', what does this novel chapter represent in the broader trajectory of your professional journey?

JIMMY: I think this has been a huge step forward for the future of PSYCHIC FEVER. We’ll be heading into a creative period to work on even more new music, so we hope everyone’s looking forward to what’s coming next!

WEESA: Our passion and feelings toward our music haven’t changed, but we’re working hard to bring an evolved version of ourselves, both in our performances and our sound. We hope you can feel that growth in everything we do.

Kindly walk me through the creative process for your forthcoming EP, 'PSYCHIC FILE III'.

Did you face any kind of challenges during this production and what artistic revelations are you unveiling through this project, both individually and as a united force?

REN: During this production, I faced the challenge of taking on the majority of the vocal parts, which pushed me to explore different ways of expressing myself. I learned to adapt my singing style to fit a wide range of genres—from calm love songs to high-energy tracks—by focusing on the mood of each song rather than sticking to my usual way of singing. This process helped me grow both technically and artistically.

RYOGA: For PSYCHIC FILE III, we embraced an experimental approach, which was both exciting and challenging as a group. We pushed ourselves to break free from genre constraints and express PSYCHIC FEVER’s diverse charm through various musical styles. This project allowed us to grow individually and as a united force, delivering music that resonates with listeners in many different everyday situations. One artistic revelation for me was the music video for “Gelato,” which brought a fresh new vibe and helped deepen the EP’s overall world.

Taking the stage at 'SXSW 2025' on two of its most high-profile platforms got you under the massive international spotlight!

What was your experience and reaction to performing there and how did that moment recalibrate your vision of global impact?

RYOGA: Thank you so much. It was truly a valuable experience. While we were always supported by our amazing fans, ForEVER, we also made sure to keep in mind those who were seeing our performance for the very first time. Through this experience, we learned a lot — especially in how we build our setlists and present ourselves — and I believe these lessons will help us grow even more moving forward.

JIMMY: It was such a special stage with a lot of attention on it, and we definitely felt the positive response and the way our reach expanded. At the same time, I personally felt like we could’ve done even more, so we’re going to keep pushing ourselves to come back stronger than ever.

Let's talk about your upcoming tour for 'ForEVER CONNECT PCF'; the first ever PSYCHIC FEVER Europe Fanmeet, taking place this July!

What was your experience like with your meet and greets in USA and what can the fans expect from this exciting upcoming event?

RYUSHIN: It was such a valuable experience! Just being able to go to the U.S. isn’t something we take for granted, and we learned so much from it. We were also thrilled to finally meet so many people in person who had been supporting us. For our upcoming fan meetings this summer, we want to create a more intimate atmosphere and bring performances that feel even closer to everyone — so please look forward to it!

TSURUGI: It was truly a special time! We’ve always known there are amazing fans in the U.S. who support us, and getting to connect with them live on stage was such a joyful and meaningful experience. As for Europe, we’re determined to make it an unforgettable moment.
We promise to bring something truly special, so please look forward to our performances!

This tour definitely represents an era of borderless connection. Pertaining to that, how are you personally redefining the relationship between artists and fans across different continents and cultures?

RYUSHIN: In Japan, things like anime, food, and many aspects of our culture are spreading around the world — and I’d be so happy if we could become a part of that movement. If we can be a bridge from Japan to the world, I believe it will lead to even more meaningful connections. Together with ForEVER, we want to keep expanding this circle and sharing what we do with more and more people.

REN: I believe learning about different cultures is really important. Through communication, we get to understand how people live, what they eat, and what their daily lives are like — and actually experiencing it ourselves teaches us so much. Each trip became a powerful life experience, and it reminded me once again how meaningful it is to truly connect with people in their own countries.

Your track “Just Like Dat” surged across digital platforms with viral momentum. What was your reaction to knowing your song was reaching such a huge impact?

TSURUGI: It was something I never could have imagined, so I was really moved.

It also made me realize just how important digital platforms are. They allow us to create incredible connections in this day and age, and I want to continue valuing and using them to stay connected with everyone moving forward.

KOKORO: I truly felt a heartfelt happiness welling up inside me. This result is thanks to all the fans, ForEVER, and everyone who has supported us along the way. I won’t forget my gratitude, and I want to keep giving my all as I chase our dreams moving forward.

In your forthcoming years, as you reach new levels of fame that expand across the globe, how do you envision the legacy of PSYCHIC FEVER being defined as?

RYOGA: Of course, our goal is to achieve many dreams as PSYCHIC FEVER, but more than anything, I want us to be a group that’s truly loved by many people. We want to become the kind of presence where people feel like, “I can't go through my day without PSYCHIC FEVER.” That’s the kind of lasting impact we hope to have as we continue taking on new challenges.

JIMMY: I want us to become artists that people genuinely want to watch perform and truly listen to. We hope to create songs and live shows that people will still come back to even 10 years from now. Just like the artists I looked up to, I want us to be loved all over the world, inspire dreams, and build a legacy that lives on through music.

(Thank you for joining us on this lovely interview, everyone! Wishing you luck with all your future projects!)

Ending Note:- Lastly, I'd love to ask you, what's next for you, all? And if there's any message that you wish to convey to your fans currently reading this interview?

WEESA: Coming up soon, we have fan meetings in Europe and the U.S., and we’re really looking forward to meeting as many fans as possible. We also hope to hold a world tour soon so that we can see everyone around the globe — please look forward to it!

KOKORO: We’ve also released PSYCHIC FILE III, and we’re currently working on new songs. We’re determined to create more opportunities to meet fans in many more countries around the world, so we hope you’ll look forward to that! Thank you always for your warm and heartfelt support.
