Kaeyra is a rising pop artist known for her powerful vocals and genre-blending style. With roots in both Poland and the U.S., she brings a fresh perspective to modern pop. Her new single, "Kiss Kiss", is a confident, bass-heavy anthem that celebrates self-worth and independence. Catchy and bold, the track marks another exciting step in her evolving musical journey.

Hi Kaeyra! What inspired the lyrics and vibe of Kiss Kiss? Is there a personal story behind it?

Yes, Kiss Kiss comes from a real place. I wrote it during a time when I was exploring the push and pull of romantic tension, when something feels magnetic but messy. It’s about giving in to that moment. I also wanted to write a song with a punchy, high-energy bass line. With a bunch of live shows coming up, I was thinking it'd be cool to have an upbeat track I can play along on bass and get people dancing!

How would you describe the sound and style of Kiss Kiss compared to your previous work?

There’s a new kind of confidence in this track that feels fresh for me. I think Kiss Kiss taps into my bold, feminine energy. It’s the most pop-leaning song I’ve done so far, and it was a lot of fun to play around with new sounds and ideas to see where it could go.

The production on Kiss Kiss feels bold—who did you collaborate with on the track?

I had the opportunity to collaborate with an incredible team, including Nicole Cohen, Ryan James Carr, and Myles Avery. This was the first song we created together, and after that initial session, we just clicked. We've been getting back in the studio ever since, and along the way, we've also become great friends.

What message or emotion were you hoping listeners would take away from Kiss Kiss?

I wanted women to feel empowered and unapologetic in the moment. "Kiss Kiss" is about embracing desire and letting go of second-guessing. It’s okay to feel something deeply, even if it’s not forever.

Was there a specific moment in the studio when you knew Kiss Kiss was something special?

Honestly, I got that moment very early on when we paid down the bass line! I loved the energy it portrayed and knew that the song was going in a great direction.

Can you talk about the visual side—do you have a music video or performance concept for the song?

I always know a song is meant to be released when it sparks a strong visual in my mind. With this one, I instantly pictured a gritty, early 2000s vibe. We shot the music video in Los Angeles, aiming to capture that raw, iconic Hollywood energy from that era.

How has the response been so far from fans and the pop community since Kiss Kiss dropped?

It’s been amazing. Fans have been sharing their interpretations and stories tied to the song, which is so rewarding. And within the pop community, I’ve gotten some incredible messages from artists I admire, which is always encouraging.

Does Kiss Kiss hint at a larger project or shift in your musical direction for 2025?

Absolutely! This song, along with my last single "Sour", really highlights my pop side and gives a glimpse into the direction my music is heading. We’ve got more singles lined up for release this year, and the plan is to build toward a full project dropping next year!
