The Roberto Cavalli show sent a blaze of fiery strength down the runway this season, showcasing unwavering elegance with a sultry edge. To a heavy base that could be heard out on the street, the models strutted on que with head turning, feminine confidence in figure
hugging leather, low cut free flowing satin and sculptured denim.
Using the past and the Cavalli DNA as a springboard, this collection took Pompeii’s history and brought it past the current day and into the future with a modern, untamed energy. The collection held the design inspiration in place showcasing rippling lava prints, mosaic effects,
sophisticated painterly prints as well as those of the Pompeii garden colliding with baggy denim, velvet devoré dresses, signature leopard motif and soft chiffon creating a completely fresh and unique juxtaposition while effortlessly working as a whole.
Lava stones were crafted into buttons while pearls and gems in the shades of Pompeian red gave the jewelry a moment of its own. The snake, depicted as an iconic symbol of sensuality and seductive metamorphosis was embodied through the new Serpentine bags and sneakers.
