Hi there Britney. Thank you for joining us on ReVamp! How are you doing and how has 2024 been like for you so far?
Heeeey, thank you for having me! I’d say it’s been crazy but I’m living for it. There’s a lot of stuff that's happened this year- my first music video, EP, fashion week debut…I’m so excited for the future!
In your phenomenal career, you have already established such a massive fanbase pertaining to your creative endeavours.
Do you think having such an enormous amount of support online somehow added any kind of pressure on creating your projects knowing the fact that there are so many people out there keen on listening to your tracks?
I mean, that’s my motivation! I’m living for the spotlight. I've always been the Center of attention, even way before I went viral. It’s so natural for me, and I have nothing but the biggest thanks to my fans and haters as well!
Let's talk about your recent track "Philipp Plein".
What was the initial inspiration behind it and do you remember that exact moment when the inspiration struck you that led you to pen down this amazing track?
Probably Mr. Philip Plein himself! He’s one of my favourite designers so far. I’m living for studs, crystals, and skulls on leather. People hate while he makes money, and I’m living for this attitude!
Did your initial visualization of the track match up with the final outcome you created and released out there?
My moon is Virgo, I always get what I want, probably because I’m a control freak and never stop the process and edit till it’s perfect.
You also recently stunned your fanbase by announcing the launch of your debut EP "HOT COUTURE" which is now out! First of all, massive congratulations on this exciting project!
Thank you!!! I’m glad it’s finally out
How did you realise this was the perfect time for you to release this wonderful collection of songs and mark your EP debut?
Absolutely. We started from “Fashion” a year ago, and now we made it to “Hot Couture”. This EP is full of my signature genre fashioncore, I wanted to close this huge era of mine by this EP and I’m glad it turned out amazing
Did you face any kind of challenges during the production stage of the EP?
Not really, I enjoyed every second of it! I live to lock myself in the studio and put my whole mind in the process.
If you could describe the theme of "HOT COUTURE" in one word, what might it be and why?
Fashion. Because nothing inspires me more.
Did you have any memorable experience from working on this project? Any particular track that stands out for you pertaining to this EP that you're really looking forward for everyone to listen to now that the project is officially out!
I recorded the “Blonde” demo one year ago in Milan, using my headphone mic sitting on the balcony of a model apartment. I remember back then, 'Fashion' had just gone viral. I couldn’t believe it was happening and got some inspiration at 2-3 a.m. One year later, I decided to get back to my old demos and found this song. This is my favorite song from the new EP so far.
What's next for you, Britney? Anything else you're currently working on that you'd like to tell us and your fans about?
I’ll never tell my plans, I always love to surprise!
My fans know - when I go quiet, it’s better to get ready…
(Thank you for joining us, Britney! Wishing you lots of luck on the launch of your debut EP!)
Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure!
Lastly, I'd love to know if there's any message that you'd like to convey to your fans and supporters currently reading this interview?
My fave quote of all time is "it can’t rain all the time" from “the crow” movie. Every time it gets harder just remember that.
