Chloe got cuter

A much anticipated show of the season with Chemena Kamali making her debut with her first collection for the brand and it did not disappoint. Showcasing soft flowing lace, ruffle sleeves, long line maxi dresses and thigh high boots. Being labeled the show to bring back boho-chic (something I can easily say I’m happy about), it was one of the most talked about and well received shows of the season. But not only for the collection seen on the catwalk; the moment Kamali swept up her little boy during her last bow is an internet favourite and will undoubtedly be remembered alongside the gorgeous collection.

Samsoe Samsoe’s minimalistic space

Samsøe Samsøe took over a minimalist gallery to showcase their basics collection during Paris Fashion Week. Collaborating with Set Designer Fatima Fransson, unique artworks were created capturing the sophistication of the collection. The Basic Collection is one that has run through the core of the brand and consists of everyday essentials, allowing the wearer to build upon, creating a capsule wardrobe. The monochromatic collection features staple, classic silhouettes, serving both purpose and style.

Bora Aksu bringing us into our soft beauty era

A soft colour palette, transcending from yellows to pinks to blues painted the soft, ruffled fabrics, celebrating traditional femininity. The intricate lace fabrics, bow details and metallic hints kept you captivated as your were transported into a world only Bora Aksu can create. Inspired by the artist Eva Hesse, and the action of turning a traumatic or dark experience into something of beauty and ease, Aksu created juxtaposition within this collection through heavy outerwear and strong lines paired with delicate fabrics and ruched dresses.

Vetements makes its return

Returning to the Paris Fashion Week runway, this show was one that kept people talking. With pop culture at it’s heart, from a star studded catwalk, slogan-of-the-moment garments and an audience worth watching alone, there wasn’t a moment to miss. First and foremost, Cher was sat front row, Christiano Ronaldo's girlfriend walked the catwalk wearing a dress with his name and number on it, while Marcia Cross, star of the 2000s show Desperate Housewives showcased the last, swarovski dazzled look. A lighthearted, fun-filled show to shake up the season.

Victoria Beckham kept things hanging

Quite literally. The collection was inspired by the way clothes sit on hangers in a wardrobe. Blazers hung off models shoulders and dresses sat as though pegged up. Structure was at the forefront of this collection with soft draping and strong lines.

Sinead O’Dwyer set the pace

Off to a strong start at London Fashion Week, Sinead O’Dwyer stuck strong to her body positive, ability positive catwalk ethos, entwined with great fashion designs. Oversized silhouettes, fitted tailoring and daring cutouts showcased on all body sizes was a refreshing picture for the runway. Each design was created bespoke for the model wearing it and encompassed a confident, bold personality.

Burberry gets us outdoors

With an Amy Winehouse soundtrack playing as noughties icons such as Agyness Dean and Edie Campbell walk down the runway an air of nostalgia is present. This Burberry show took place in a huge tent in Victoria Park, highlighting the brand's outdoor heritage and inspiration for Daniel Lee’s third collection. Models walked the runway, umbrellas in hand, while big coats and practical boots were at the forefront of the collection.

Valentino will have you digging out your little black dress

Titled ‘Le Noir’, the collection was exactly that. With no colour on the Valentino runway at all, Piccioli demonstrated the depth that there is to black. Beautifully crafted silhouettes, soft sheer fabrics draped over the body, dramatic patterns and bold ruffles made up this collection.

Coperni stays viral

Remember the viral Coperni spray-on dress? This season Coperni took barely there fashion to new heights with their lighter than light handbag. Made from aerogel, the same fabric NASA use to collect space dust, labeled the lightest fabric on earth, it brings new meaning to traveling light.
