LZ7 ft M∆CKEN

 27th April 2023

Words: Robert Smith

Manchester, England based EDM group LZ7 are back with their latest single “Same Line” Ft. M∆CKEN, as they get ready to release their latest project Human EP Vol. 1 on May 26th.

For “Same Line” LZ7 has collaborated with US artist M∆CKEN who many may remember from his hit single “Top Of The World” with Afrojack which was featured on Swedish House Mafia’s final LP. This new single follows the success of  LZ7’s 2022 single “Last Night” that peaked in the Top 10 on Upfront Club Charts following remixes from DJ/Producer Try Harder (Daniel Beddingfield, Hermitage, Steve Malcolm and Static & Ben), as well as new French DJ Rawdolff.

When asked about their latest single “Same Line” Ft. M∆CKEN, LZ7 leader Lindz West said, 'Same Line is one of my favorites of this new project to write, record and film. We teamed up with our mate Neon Feather for production and asked M∆CKEN singer of Afrojack's 'Top Of The World' to feature and write to the song! He did and he smashed it! Together we have produced a UK/US EDM floor filler that screams of hope, positivity, love and good times and I cannot wait to get this tune out there for everyone to be lifted and inspired to dream again.” Similarly when asked about what this track meant to him, M∆CKEN said, “Same Line” to me symbolizes that we are all on this journey together, no matter what country, what race, what situation you are in, we are all each other's brothers & sisters, we all are on the same line of life. I've had some difficult battles with mental illness in my life & struggled with the idea of wanting to live another day or keep battling when reprieve feels so out of reach, so to me it was kind of just a call to others out there battling through mental illness, suicidal thoughts, physical illnesses, that there is hope to be found, there is something to believe in, to wake up for everyday & keep fighting, we're here for one other, I know it's not easy, believe me but when I hear the words of the song it reminds me I'm not alone.”

From the start, LZ7 has kept a relevance and honesty about their music, which comes from a heart that sees the best in young people. The band draws on experiences from their own lives which gives the listener a deeper perspective of where they come from, what they are all about and where they are heading with their music. With their infectious melodies, huge drops and back-to-back anthems, LZ7 knows how to rock a crowd at their live show. Rock a crowd is just what they have been doing since the world has started to open again , LZ7 has already started hitting the road playing at festivals and schools alike across the UK, with more festival dates scheduled for this spring/summer.
