It’s time for another talent to talk with us, and today is rising star, Eva Carlton, to join us for an exclusive interview for ReVamp magazine. We ask a little about her and her most recent role, the endearing ‘Leni Loud’, one of the main characters of Nickelodeon’s newest live action adaptation ‘The Really Loud House’ from the animated series ‘The Loud House’.

Thank you for interviewing with us, Eva! We’re happy to have you here… so tell us, what was the overall experience like whilst working with the cast?

It has been incredible! Everyone has done the most to make me feel as comfortable as possible in this role! Everyone in the cast is so kind and talented!

As you were reading from your script about the type of character that you were playing, did you notice any similarities between Leni Loud’s personality and yours?

Absolutely! Like Leni, I am quite the fashionista! Ask any of my friends, I am always dressed to the nines!

Before your role with Nickelodeon, did you have any previous experience with acting such as live theatre as with many aspiring actors and actresses?

Yes - theatre was my first passion! I have been doing theatre camps, musicals, and plays since I was a little kid. Nothing beats live theatre! I’ve also been in an animated TV show called “Where’s Waldo?” and “Little” with Marsai Martin, Regina Hall, and Issa Rae.

Besides acting, do you have any other talents that you haven’t mentioned to us yet?

Yes - I’ve been singing for my whole life! It’s actually what got me into acting. I kind of consider myself a singer over an actor. I’ve started writing my own music now, too!

With that being said, what other interests do you have? Something completely unrelated to what we have discussed.

I actually love to draw. I often draw while watching TV because I have ADD, so it’s hard for me to focus on one thing. I’ve gotten pretty good at it over the years - I recently drew all the characters from “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

And lastly, let’s imagine for a moment that you’ve had a callback for your dream role. Which one would that be, and why?

Maybe some kind of movie musical? I would love to work on something where I get to sing, as well. When I was in middle school, I wanted nothing more than to be in a glee-type show: a musical satire.
