Our first cover story for October goes to a young star who you might recognise on TikTok doing crazy stuff with his younger brother or if you don't use TikTok you might recognise him from your tele relaxing and having a giggle on the sofa in Gogglebox, it's one and only Joe Baggs.

Baggs chat to us about being a TikTok star, best memories of being on Gogglebox and we chat about his new podcast 'Not My Bagg'.

Hi Joe! Thanks for chatting to us. How has your 2022 been so far? Got any plans for the rest of the year?

Hey! 2022 so far has been the biggest rollercoaster ever but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I left my day job to start content creating full time and I’m learning so much about myself every day. Feeling so blessed and fortunate to be doing something I love as a career.

In terms of future plans, I’ve got some exciting projects in the works which are secret for now but I’m hoping 2023 will be my most exciting year ever!

You and your family recently decided to leave the Channel 4 show, ‘Gogglebox’. How was your time on there?

Being part of the Gogglebox family was one of the most life changing experiences that I’ll forever be grateful for. Growing up we used to sit together as a family and envision being on the show so when we got the call to join the cast it was a dream come true. The production team and other families were so welcoming I genuinely couldn’t fault our time on there.

Have you got any funny BTS that you can tell us?

There were SO many hilarious bits you guys didn’t get to see. The most uncomfortable usually being the sex education shows we had to watch with our parents - horrific! There’s something about seeing a lady rub a vagina cushion in front of your mum & dad that really stays with a man.

One of the funniest memories I have is when my mum forgot her mic was on and had to ‘pass some wind’ in the kitchen. One of the producers walked into the room and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed that hard.

You have such a great bond with your brother, George. You both do amazing and hilarious TikTok’s together. What has been by far your favourite to film?

That’s really sweet of you to say. I think one of my favourite memories of us making content together was during the pandemic when George did an impression of my mum shouting “Tel” at my dad. Still to this day it cracks me up but the response overnight was mind blowing and we made it onto LADbible and a tonne of other viral accounts. It really propelled us to where we are now!

George and yourself have announced that you have a brand new podcast called ‘Not My Bagg’. How did this come about and what made you both decide to do it?

We’ve wanted to start a podcast for so long now and came up with the concept of “Not My Bagg” because of our polar opposite interests.

George is very into sports, cars and all things ‘lad’ whereas I’m obsessed with pop culture, music and reality TV. In an attempt to educate each other we’ll be bringing in celebrity guests and friends to learn more and of course cause some chaos along the way!

Can you give us some tea on who will be featuring?

We’ve got a global pop star and reality TV icon lined up that I’m VERY excited about. My head is frazzled !!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What would you love to be doing?

In 5 years time I want to have helped produce a show about my family, as well as feature on reality TV shows that I’ve always dreamed of being cast in. I’d also love to have my own business and be more involved in the music industry.

Lastly, what advice would you give to your young self who is about to be a TikTok star and their career is about to blast off?

I’d tell them to take their time and be more present. Everything happens for a reason and every ‘no’ is just a redirection to the place you are meant to be.
