Saby Guerrero chats to us about her time on the Channel 4 show, 'Five Dates A Week', her podcast 'Podcast from the Pub' and we talk about chasing your dreams.

Hey Saby! Thanks for chatting with ReVamp! How has your 2022 been so far?

The first thing I want to say is thank you for having me, it’s a pleasure being here! 2022 has been really good so far. It’s been very busy and very fast pace but that’s what I wanted for a long time, I just wanted things to kick off and just be constantly busy where I don’t have time to breathe which it has been. I’ve got exciting things happening this year, purchasing my first property, starting up the podcast, and the show being released, it’s been fun!

You recently starred in ‘Five Dates A Week’ on Channel 4. What was the experience like?

I enjoyed it! It was a good experience and it would be something I would be happy to do again. It was very different and it was very overwhelming, I even cried when I left. It was really fun, everyone there was amazing and I’ve met people who I would call friends for life now but being there secluded away from the rest of the world, with no phones going off constantly 24/7 it’s a lot to take in. It was a good first stepping stone as I enjoyed the experience. I’m happy to do pretty much anything and explore many different shows coming my way.

Is there anything you would change if you could re-live it again?

I’m pretty happy with the way I portrayed myself I don’t think I did anything bad at all. If there was, the only thing I would change would be to come out of my shell a little bit more because naturally I am a shy person and I naturally become myself when I get to know someone however I still don’t have to be the loudest in the room to get their attention!

So you’re a presenter and an actress. What got you into this field? Also, who are your favourite presenters?

For me personally I feel like everyone gets a passion in their heart for what they want to do like some people want to be a hairdresser, some people want to be a boxer and for me, I stayed true to my heart that I wanted to be a presenter and an actress. I would steer more to the presenting as one day I would love to host my own chat show. My two favourite presenters are Oprah and Ellen, so those are the style shows that I would like to do. Like I love how Oprah can talk about serious topics but also has a bit of sense of humour in it.

You run a podcast called 'Podcast from the Pub'  for people that haven’t heard it. How would you describe it?

Podcast from the Pub is a podcast that talks about controversial topics, debates and healthy discussions, so the podcast is that but all in to one. The podcast is usually me between two or three other guys so you have a female perspective and a male perspective and sometimes there are a lot of disagreements. Being the only female perspective, it’s hard to go against them but I always stick to my guns. It’s all about discussing topics that are current and sparks a lot of debates.

Lastly, have you got any upcoming projects that you can tell your readers about?

Recently I’ve had a lot of auditions happening! Nothing is set in stone yet but also I’ve also joined some U.S. acting platforms just getting ready for the pilot season. If anything pops up you’ll be the first to know!
