Here at ReVamp we have an exclusive premiere of 'For Real' by Rudy Touzet; we chat to Rudy about the single.
"For Real was written during a time where I was in a great place in my life. I met so many people that made me want to become a better version of myself. I wanted to portray that feeling in this song, but showcase how I was feeling towards someone I was seeing. For Real is really the message you want to send to THAT person and just letting them know that you’re ready to commit and you don’t want this to be temporary. I was going with the flow and everything was working out so I was like whatever this is… I want to keep it going and so we wrote a summer bop about it!" - Rudy Touzet
Hi Rudy! Thanks for talking to us at ReVamp Magazine! You have a brand new single out today called ‘For Real’! Congratulations! Can you tell us a little bit about the meaning behind the song?
Thank you so much! The meaning behind the song is kind of tying the knot between you and your significant other. I’m not into “hook ups” or “situationships” and I hate not knowing where I stand with someone. So I wrote For Real to explain that I don’t want to be just temporary especially to someone I like.
How did you prepare yourself for the release?
I’ve had this song for over a year and I knew I wanted to release it in the summer time. I’ve just been working on making content for the song and really getting the message and the song out to people who don’t know who I am!
Listening to the track - it sounds like a major summer bop! What was the inspiration behind the track?
I was honestly just in such a good place in my life! I had just met someone and felt like that happiest person in the world, so I wanted to talk about how I don’t want this feeling to be temporary. This was basically me saying I was ready to commit to a relationship.
Are there any artists you would like to collaborate with?
I’ve been listening to Tate Mcrae’s new album on repeat! I would to work with her and feel like we would make a bop together.
We heard there might be an EP coming later this year! Is there anything you can tell us about it?
Yes there is! I am currently finishing up a couple more songs for the project. All I can say is that these songs will be perfect for the summer!
