2022 is off to a phenomenal start for the newly formed K-Pop band TEMPEST as they mark their debut through their first mini-album ‘It’s Me, It’s We’.

Having consisting of 7 members, TEMPEST showcases the creative artistry of Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, LEW, Hwarang, Eunchan and Taerae.

Currently under the spotlight for their ethereal debut into the music industry, TEMPEST has already established a massive and loyal fanbase for themselves. The lead track “Bad News” is without a doubt a hyper-charged anthem, all thanks to TEMPEST’s flawless artistry and the groovy undertone to the melody. The fans are extremely excited to witness what the seven-member group has in store for their future!

Our latest digital cover stars TEMPEST recently sat down with us in order to discuss insights into their novel music journey.

Hi there. So lovely to have you over at ReVamp! How has the start of this year been going for all of you?

HWARANG: Every day feels magical because everything we explore seems like opening new doors. I am excited for the journey that awaits us.

How are all of you maintaining your creativity during times like these?

HYUK: We’ve been watching many senior artists perform whenever we’re on standby on music programs. Every moment there, I learn a lot and get inspired by them.

You recently marked your debut with your first mini-album. Huge congratulations on that! Are you enjoying the response you have been receiving from your fandom so far?

HANBIN: I felt ecstatic when we received support and positive reactions from our debut. The positive energy motivates me to strive to be better. Please send us love and support!

What was the creative process like with this album? Did you face any kind of challenge during the production stage of the project?

HWARANG: There was a lot of contemplating while I wrote the lyrics because I wanted my lyrics to resonate with our listeners. I listened to others’ points of view and spent a considerable amount of time trying to see if I could make sense of it all. As a result, there were days I would work late and go home in the morning. But, all in all, it was a meaningful experience to tell my story.

LEW: I put an endless amount of time and effort into writing the lyrics, finding a way to tell my story, and maintaining the charm of the song alive. I was able to come up with better lyrics thanks to HWARANG because he was by my side throughout the process.

Now that you have officially made your debut, what are the top three things on your bucket list regarding your future years?

HYEONGSEOP: The first is to win a Rookie of the Year Award, the second is to hold a meet-and-greet and the third is to have a concert and go on tour. Every day, we think of ways to constantly improve our group.

All of you must have experienced a lot in your time together as a team. What would you say was the biggest lesson that you grasped working with each other so far?

TAERAE: It’s to not dwell on the past but to focus on what lies ahead. Reflecting on the past is important, but we need to make and improve tomorrow.

Lastly, is there any message that you wish to give to your fans reading this interview right now?

EUNCHAN: I would like to thank and send love to all the iE who always supports us. I hope we can always be together. I love you!
