On tour with one of the biggest boybands in the United Kingdom! We got to chat to Harper Starling about being a support act for The Wanted, her single 'Affair with Myself' and we ask how the American girl is finding London.

Hello Harper! You’ve been in London for a couple of weeks now before heading off on tour with The Wanted. How have you been finding London so far? 

It’s everything I’d hoped it would be! It’s always been a dream of mine to visit London. I’ve been super busy with my team doing photoshoots, dance rehearsals, and set rehearsals for the tour. I also got the chance to do some sightseeing and visit the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey. 

For the readers who are new to you. How would you explain you and your music in 3 words? 

The three Es: Empowering, energetic, and electric

So you’re supporting The Wanted on tour. Performing at big venues such as the O2 Arena! Now that’s bloody cool! How are you feeling about this? 

I’m still in shock that this is all happening! It’s been a dream of mine to perform at the O2 Arena. I’m simultaneously excited and nervous (but good nerves I promise!) 

So you have a new single “Affair With Myself” coming out on “April 1st” how are you preparing yourself for this?

Well I am releasing it on a special day, April Fools Day, and have been asked to debut it during Grammy week and will be performing it on April 2nd at the Soirée Living Legend Awards in Las Vegas. 

Have you got a music video for this? Is there anything you can tell us about it? 

There is a music video! We shot it at various locations in Toronto, Canada. Fans like myself who loved the movie ‘Teen Witch’, and remember the character of Shauna (the Rock Star), played by Cindy Valentine who co-wrote the opening music for the film and who has been my mentor and writing partner. I am so excited to announce she will be making a cameo performance.
